The Nicomp 3080 ZLS
is designed to provide stability information about colloidal
systems.
It measures the electrophoretic
mobility and stability of charged particles in liquid
suspension.
These values are a predictor of the
repulsive forces being exerted by the particles in suspension
and are directly related to the stability of the colloidal
system.
The Nicomp 3080 zeta
module has some unique features including; frequency zeta mode
that provides a graphical display of both the reference and
shifted peaks.
This provides insight on the
working of the instrument and ultra stable phase analysis mode
for organic and high salt samples.
The modular capabilities include:
disposable zeta cells, removable static zeta electrodes that are
easy to maintain, low volume zeta cells, high voltage mode for
organics, dynamic polarization compensation, autotitration,
autosampler and an autodilution mode.
Highlights
No Calibration
- Innovative cell design eliminates need for determination of
stationary plane.
Disposable Cell
- Use of plastic cuvettes makes sample preparation and cleanup
between samples a breeze.
Fast Automatic Analysis
- Less than 1 minute.
Time History Plot
- Provides information on sample settling times.
Flow-through
cell -Allows for autodilution
and autotitration.
No Alignment
- Precision stepper motor control and innovative optical fiber
technology eliminates all alignment issues.
Automatic Reference Detection
- System automatically determines reference scan and
continuously monitors it during measurement mode.
Multi-Angle Fiber
- Provides for multi-angle sizing capabilities from 10 up to 175
degrees.
