The Nicomp 380 ZLS is designed to provide stability information about colloidal systems. It measures the electrophoretic mobility and stability of charged particles in liquid suspension. These values are a predictor of the repulsive forces being exerted by the particles in suspension and are directly related to the stability of the colloidal system.
The Nicomp 3080 zeta module has some unique features including; frequency zeta mode that provides a graphical display of both the reference and shifted peaks. This provides insight on the working of the instrument and ultra stable phase analysis mode for organic and high salt samples. The modular capabilities include: disposable zeta cells, removable static zeta electrodes that are easy to maintain, low volume zeta cells, high voltage mode for organics, dynamic polarization compensation, autotitration, autosampler and an autodilution mode.
